Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee - Hong Kong Harbour

My visit to Hong Kong was overcast at the best: wet much the time.    I was staying in the Shangri La hotel in Kowloon, near the Tsim Tsa station.  I’d caught the ferry back over the harbour and by the time I reached Kowloon the weather was finally starting to clear.   I walked past the Cultural Centre and along the Avenue of Stars.  I am not a Bruce Lee fan but it is an attractive statue and it made a wonderful photo. Of course, without the earlier rain, the air across Hong Kong Harbour wouldn’t have been so clear.  There is a silver lining to every cloud – sometimes only after it has moved away though!

It’s a shame about the railings.  I could Photoshop them out, but that always feels like cheating to somebody who was brought up on 35mm.  I’ll take out red eye and adjust for basic exposure settings but I dislike playing with the content.

It’s actually a rather famous statue with its own Wikipedia entry.  The unveiling was the source of mad excitement as you can see in these pictures.
