There is some great material on YouTube and I’m delighted they have come to an agreement with some major artists to feature their material. The trouble is, one is never sure which artists’ work has been approved and which haven’t so videos might disappear or embedding might be disabled. It’s a shame because it can be a great way to introduce new people to artists.
Billy Joel
For instance I have just had to make an update to Greatest Sax Solo collection on Squidoo because the version of Scenes from an Italian Restaurant I was using was disabled. It’s a shame, but no matter because there are other versions on there which seem to be allowed.
Scenes from an Italian Restaurant is often regarded as Billy Joel’s theme tune. It’s a great peice with a mixture of vocals, Joel on the piano and some amazing soprano sax solos by Richie Cannata who also played on Until the Night (one of my personal favourites Billy Joel tracks). Both are totally recommended.
