A query from Pat Kennedy:
A few years ago I made a visit to the Abusir pyramid field but fear that my photos have become mixed up and I don’t know what I took, where.
I am sure of the provenance of the Sahure pyramid picture but I think the other two may have been taken at Neferirkare’s pyramid. I wonder if any readers will be able to identify them positively for me? Certainly the hieroglyphs on what I have termed an offering table indicate Neferirkare, but the basin I had really thought was at Sahure’s pyramid. Now I am not so sure. Also, could the basin be part of a drainage system, or is it an offering one, I wonder?
